I Have A Question: Really Need Advice

HI. I am 24 years old and I have reccently been diagnosed with TMJ. My ear plugs up over little hills, my ENT thinks that this might be allergy related because I recently had a normal tympanogram 0.5 on the left and 0.7 on the right (the side of my TMJ problem). About four months ago, when nobody could figure out what this was)I had a tympanogram it was 0.5 on the left and -22 on the right. Are there different ways of measuring eustachian tube dysfunction? Are there different types of tympanograms? Could one of these tympanograms been incorrect? It is one ear that plugs up not both, is it possible to have allergies cause one ear to plug up?
