My husband has been diagnosed with Bulbar onset ALS (July 2003) His major problems include shortness of breath, extremely difficult speech and his chewing and swallowing are also affected. His tongue is totally paralysed at this time. His condition seems to be deteriorating rapidly. He becomes so short of breath he is barely able to walk ro do any of this normal daily activities.... Hi all, I found this forum back in meanwhile May or June when we thought my mother had had a stroke. I was looking for info on that. Just recently, in the last 2 weeks in fact, she finally had her MRI done. It showed no evidence of a stroke. Her Dr sent her to a neurologist. I am currently taking low dose Naltrexone for my MS but I have read on the website that it helps with ALS as well. Ive been on it for approximately 16 months now and so far so good. Hello, I am a healthy (I think) 24 year old male with some concerns. I recently posted a message and since then, approximately a week now, my right arm and right leg feel like they are weak, however they are in fact able to lift as much weight or anything like that.
